Now this is beautiful! Loved B-17's since a kid watching the old 12 O'clock high T.V. show.

Saw it a long time ago. As much as I liked Greg Peck, I liked Robert Lansing better.

it amazes me the sheer scale of the formations that used to meet up over the UK to beat the shit out of the krauts. would have loved to have seen it must have been awesome.

Very nice! :)

So, those are B-17's! I'm failry new to the aviation fandom, and the only source for planes I have is a book called 'FIGHTER'. Very nicely done, I like the angle and such.

....

I need to get a pilot's liscence. We've got enough land out here for an ultra-lite to take off.

Another outstanding capture, Buzz. The composition in this image is what really grabs me. The lead plane is moving almost directly away from the camera, while the second plane, positioned virtually perfectly below and slightly to the side of the lead plane, is turning to the same heading as the lead plane and climbing into position. This makes the overall image very successful, at least in my humble opinion. I also like the toning that you applied. As with the earlier images from this series, it just seems to fit the subject and location. It's almost like being there. Excellent work!

It's so easy to imagine them heading off to the rally point over Great Yarmouth... Beautiful shot, my friend.
